*Your baby is beginning to feed him/herself. Keep in mind he/she needs sof foods or food that is easily mushed up in the mouth. Consult your pediatrician for recommended finger foods.
*Give your baby his/her own spoon so he/she can practice using it to eat.
*It is good to sit your baby at the table during family meals.
*Always wipe your baby's gums after eating.

When leaving your baby in another person's care, always leave the person your phone number, important care instructions (including your baby's preferences), pediatrician information, and a release for your caregiver to seek emergency care.
