Other Great Tips:
*Your baby may begin to get some teeth between six and ten months.  These are a few signs to look for:  drooling, fussiness, swollen and tender gums, urge to chew, low-grade fever

*Safety proof your home.  Your baby is becoming more mobile and will try to open drawers and doors.

*Look for safety hazards such as dangling electrical cords, uncovered outlets, unlocked cabinets and drawers, and breakable items on low shelves.

Parenting Tip:

Take care of your back!  do not bend from the waist to pick up your baby.  Lower yourself by bending at the knees using the muscles in your legs.  Remember to never twist your waist and head at the same time.  For more tips on protecting your back, visit http://www.pp.okstate.edu/ehs/links/back.html.
